Born in Angola and raised in Portugal, Rui moved to London in 1992 to study Interior Design. For the past 12 years, he has been working with high profile clients and collectors in their residences and boutique offices around the world always responding to the architecture and location of each property and to the lifestyle and interests of each client to create well-considered bespoke unique interiors. Since 2012, he has consistently been listed in the House & Garden Top 100 Interior Designers in the UK and has been featured in many interior design publications including House & Garden, Architectural Digest, Vogue, and Town & Country. While continuing the interior design studio in London, in 2019 the newly named Rui Ribeiro Studio will open a new flagship gallery in Lisbon, set against the backdrop of one of the most beautiful and exciting cities in Europe, to showcase his own limited-edition and one-off pieces of furniture and furnishings alongside carefully curated art and objects in collaboration with a select group of international artists, expert craftsman and makers’ workshops. In addition to creating modern and relaxed, living spaces infused with style, warmth and ease, Rui is committed to the design and realisation of well-crafted furniture and furnishings which are rich in texture and detail.
