Autumn in the capital of the UK always brings something special to warm our design hearts. Presently London stands precisely at the forefront of modern art, architecture, and design trends. The city may even be regarded as a design studio of sorts due to its network of museums and galleries, magazines and lifestyles that create a dialogue about design from around the world. Design has always been about the experience, people, and relationships.
In 2013 a design project experience called COVET Lounge was created, giving people the opportunity to take a journey inside the world of design where innovation meets comfort and luxury intersects with art, music, food, and everything in between. Curated Design was coined as the motto for this project. The relationships that are built between clients and brands are crucial to the design experience; COVET was created to make sure that in today’s digital age the art of face-to-face engagement was not lost. Two years ago COVET Lounge made its debut as a turnkey solution for interior designers and architects at Maison & Objet Paris. Everything began from that the 200 square meter lounge where interior designers, architects, and journalists met with some of the most attractive brands of the moment.

The main purpose of this project was to establish an ideally designed area for business meetings with the sales managers of the partnered-brands, a place where they could have relaxed interviews and celebrate design in a unique way. In 2015 another unforgettable COVET Lounge was produced at Maison & Objet in Paris during the launch of Maison Valentina, the luxury furniture for bathrooms. Earlier this year Salone del Mobile was an even more successful platform for the COVET Lounge where the company presented the new lighting brand LUXXU. Each time the COVET design project appears it steps it up a notch with great success for all parties involved.
In addition to the company’s private lounges at trade shows, the COVET design project has decided to take the next step forward with the grand opening of the COVET London Design Apartment. London now has a new place where you can go for an exclusive and enjoyable experience with a specialized design team, it is more than just a showroom, it is a place where you can learn the interesting stories behind beautiful high-end furniture creations while relishing delicious appetizers and tasting great Portuguese wine.

The space with its welcoming environment seems to be the perfect scenario for experiencing exclusive ultra luxury design along with the inspiring and peculiar stories behind each piece. Every visitor can set their own scene and create different ambiences with the help of the creative team. The magnificent furniture pieces of this showroom are stocked into one emporium full of design masterpieces. Thus, this apartment is filled with some of the best luxury furniture anywhere.
One of the most expected stars of the apartment is the Symphony Sideboard from the brand Boca do Lobo. Recently its first edition was sold in a Christie’s Auction, and it was part of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie set, meeting Mr. Grey’s exuberant taste. The aesthetic of the interior design of the apartment is enhanced by the feminine and sensual brand KOKET of the COVET Lounge project, featured through luxury side tables, consoles, and sconces. KOKET’s bold and daring Chandra Chair will certainly impress the apartment’s visitors, with its provocative lines and the noble materials from which it is composed.
For a touch of novelty, the creative mid-century modern lighting brand DelightFULL expands to the furniture world with the Monocle sideboard. Another inspiring surprise comes from the luxury brand BRABBU. The apartment is adorned with their KOI side table which was created under the Japanese influences that give an exotic feel to any contemporary setting. This design piece was previously selected for the 2014 Interior Innovation Award.
As you know, luxury belongs to ephemeral terms that are difficult to define or explain. This notion may have a variety of meanings for each of us. In terms of collaboration with design, it is absolutely true to say that both of them express big ideas, build meaningful connections, and create rich associations. Thus, in order to succeed in the design industry COVET Lounge must always be at the forefront of innovation and service. The design showrooms and apartment are a way to serve as the background for dynamic activities in the design world. COVET London Apartment has a bit of secretiveness looming behind it and will definitely become a second home for designers working against the clock. Furthermore, this design venue appears to be a commemoration of the best in Portuguese design where professionals may enjoy themselves while working and creating wonderful new designs. In view of all of these characteristics, CovetED Magazine would like to encourage you to visit COVET London Design Apartment and be captivated by the magic of luxury design.
