The New Baker’s Textile Showroom in New York City is located at 200 Lexington Avenue and it will act as the flagship location. The stunning newly constructed 3,000 square foot textile showroom located within Baker’s existing showroom was officially launched during the New York Design Center’s annual What’s New, What’s Next event on September 22.

Baker is an international leading designer and manufacturer of refined home furnishings and it has expanded its traditional business, providing a collection of textiles which includes over 1,300 fabrics. The new patterns focus on foundational textures, saturated colour and decorative designs.

“This brand new offering of textiles signals Baker’s shift from being just a luxury furniture resource to becoming a complete resource for the design community,” said Russell Towner, the president of Baker.

Baker’s world-renowned furniture collection represents a wide range of eras, styles and global influences. The addition of this exquisite textile collection which includes wallcoverings and trims will establish an
unparalleled offering to assist designers as they create relevant and cohesive interiors.

The initial launch included previous collaborations from some of Baker’s prestigious guest designers, such as
Thomas Pheasant, Laura Kirar and Kara Mann, as well as 115 Bob Collins fabrics. “This is just the beginning. We will continue to collaborate and develop textile collections with other guest designers, artists, and tastemakers as we establish Baker as the industry’s next great fabric house,” explained Towner.

The collection includes a vast array of colours and patterns including velvet, wool, mohair, linen, silk, chenille, embroidery, prints, metallic textures, stripes and damask. Baker has also used this launch to enlarge its selection beyond only upholstery weight fabrics.

Baker textiles are crafted all around the globe from Belgium, Italy, India to the United Kingdom and U.S, keeping its legacy of artisan craftsmanship.
