On the past 4th to 12th of September, Milan gave the stage to the September’s edition of  Milan Design Week, where Visionnaire disclosed a remarkable installation in its showroom named Insulae designed by Marco Bonelli and Marijana Radovic. The duo also known as m2atelier, transformed the space into a new dimension where nature, dreams and architecture were the ex-libris. And so a secret garden took place right in the middle of the central hall, inviting all visitors to explore it. The garden is the principal point of the project and is inspired by five Italian symbolic places, evoking the Italian coastline and its breathtaking beauty.

This installation was considered an imaginary summer trip to the world’s most famous Italian islands: Sicily, Sardinia, Capri, Elba, and Ponza. Each island affects a mesmerizing natural ambience where each piece is in consonance with. The project was carried out in collaboration with Gruppo Giardini and together created emotions through harmonious shapes, colours and scents with an all-Italian sensitivity.

Caprice Collection is made with a total amount of nine products which, also like islands, must be explored from all sides. The creative and talented Alessandro La Spada has given it an exquisite and sophisticated perspective of the world and a new way of interpreting “home”. The base of his research is settled on how time is important and nowadays, more than ever, is really important for everyone to have time for themselves.  Babylon Rack is a collection that narrates the present and the future, inherited from an iconic past, creating the main piece of the collection: the Babylon sofa. This view came from the idea of combining architecture and design with functional features that could be used either to work, study or relax.

Alcova

Last but not least, from 4th to 12th September, the installation“De Rerum Natura” created by Gupica was revealed. This took place at the factory of G. Cova & Co in the NoLo district, where you can find Visionnaire emerged in a deep greenery stage. Alcova arrived this year in an old military area in the Inganni district. The abandoned urban forest and its buildings from the 30s penetrated by uncontrolled vegetation are the ideal places for the installation. This project was conceived by Joseph Grima and Valentina Ciuffi. Alcova is a unique exhibition dedicated to designers, artists, galleries and institutions. Who united by a pioneering vision of the design culture, innovation and experimentation want to give the world an extra touch of beauty and creativity.

Inside its chamber of wonders, Visionnaire is hosting the exhibition Sedimento. It was born from a collaboration between the brand and Andrea Anastasio. Andrea is the curator and artistic director of Bottega d’Arte Ceramica Gatti 1928. The exhibition honours the tradition of Italian craftsmanship combined with creativity and reflection with a modern point of view.

To finalise, Visionnaire continues its path of sustainable development. The installation projects of Milan Design Week 2021 were conceived from a carbon-neutral and plastic-free perspective. This way the ultimate goal of protecting the environment and neutralizing the CO2 emissions produced during the September events helped a reforestation project carried out in Brazil, through VCS certificates (carbon credits).
