It is renowned and worldwide recognised for its unique and limited edition pieces, that are exhibited in thematic fairs. The designer studied at the Paris École des Beaux-arts and got famous in 1985 because of his graphic, sculptured jewellery collections. He is a truly independent contemporary artist and his work combines extreme freedom of expression with meticulous execution. Hybridization, elegance, and refinement are his main work principles. Hervé Van der Straeten has gained a global appreciation for the astonishing designs of exclusive furniture, mirrors, and lighting.

Van der Straeten Gallery’s pieces are impactful all around the world, as their strong presence makes them instantly recognizable. They are made in cabinet-making workshops set up and expanded by the designer over the years. Also, the famous artist has worked for renowned luxury brands, such as J’adore by Dior’s perfume bottle, KissKiss by Guerlain’s lipstick, and the Excess by Paco Rabanne.

His furniture, lighting pieces and accessories are created using traditional materials of hand-wrought bronze, painstakingly applied lacquer and meticulously polished wood. Hervé Van Der Straeten chooses to stay loyal to his roots and all his creations are executed by his team of master craftsmen at the Paris workshop.

Hervé Van Der Straeten’s exclusive and remarkable works have given him a lot of awards thought of the years.
