
On the fifth and last day of the Rolex TP52 World Championship, one of the most prestigious trophies in the sailing world that took place in Cascais, Lisbon, Quantum Racing did not disappoint and showed why they were one of the favorites from the start and won.

Quantum Racing, the American team led by businessman Doug Devos, led the championship every day, although with a small margin under the opponents and without ever having won any of the races disputed until the last day.
By winning the first race on the 25th and ranking sixth in the second, Quantum Racing ended the championship with 33 points and won another world title in the TP52 class, the fourth in its history and the second obtained in Cascais.

In second place, the German team Platoon, from Harm Muller-Speer, ended up with 40 points, which went out to water looking to attack the leaders.
The fight for third place, fought by the English boat, Alegre, where the Portuguese Bernardo Freitas was integrated as a “local advisor”, met the expectations, with the English managing to climb the podium and achieve bronze with their result in the last championship race, finishing with 41 points. So, the Phoenix team, from South Africa, lost its place on the podium by just one point.

As for Gladiator, the team that had the technical support of the local sailor Gonçalo Ribeiro, did not go further than the 9th place, after classifying in 8th place in the two regattas on the last day.
