Meet 'Torre', The New Stool By Alban Le Henry For Colos

With this project Alban Le Henry went far beyond the usual practical requirements, creating harmony between primitive geometries, like the circle, and elaborate forms, as the series of curves shaping the backrest and the supporting structures. For these last elements, inspiration is taken from the traditional bistro chairs, obtaining a product with a friendly and classic character, able to adapt to the most different environments, both modern and not, both indoor and outdoor. TORRE also offers the possibility of being stacked in a vertical line, allowing maximum use of space in all situations that require it.

TORRE, one of the news that Colos presented at the Salone del Mobile, works as a chair and as a stool and is signed by Alban Le Henry. Inspiration comes from the traditional bistro chairs, obtaining a product with a friendly and classic character. With this project, the French designer goes way beyond practical requirements, creating harmony between primitive geometries, like the circle, and elaborate forms, as the series of curves shaping the backrest and the supporting structures.

Among the other news presented by Colos at the Salone del Mobile, there are also Alfiere, a new cast-iron base for bistro tables, always from Alban Le Henry; Pigreco, the stool inspired by the Greek letter and designed by Francesco Meda; the high stool that expands Piazza and Villa collections by Jun Yasumoto; and finally VU by Jeremiah Ferrarese, a program of tables with wooden trestle base, able to adapt to the most diverse uses and needs, thanks to one technical feature that allows to vary dimensions very practically. VU tables are an important transversal element in the Colos collection, that can be used for domestic and public spaces, not only addressed to hospitality.

The result is a versatile chair, entirely in recycled polypropylene, customizable with a special pillow available in many colours and suitable for the indoor and outdoor as well.TORRE stool has the same proportions and features of the side chair, with the sole exception of the backrest. Suitable both for indoor and outdoor use, it works as a complement to the chair or as a single element which can be used in many different ways.
