This new mega-vessel is set to break major boundaries in the industry not only due to its technological and revolutionary character but also for being a $5 billion class heavy hitter. Kelly Hoppen’s design philosophy and a neutral palette are seen throughout the ship, layered with small punchy accents of bright colours. The beautifully designed suites have a timeless and classic feel and exude a modern elegance and harmonious feel.

Celebrity Edge is actually not the first massive yacht production in which Kelly Hoppen has worked on. She has quite the experience in the industry as she was responsible for the interior design of a series of yachts from Pearl Yachts, among other enticing ventures. The designer’s ever-evolving style is underpinned by a subtle fusion of East meets West where clean lines and neutral reign and she was able to completely bring this opulence and a bold, modern luxury statement into Celebrity Edge.

The massive exterior of the yacht was imagined by architect Tom Wright as he is one of the best in business and has a cutting-edge and progressive way of thinking. Wright further explained that, “We put a strong spine down the middle of the ship, so we could get rid of the bulky metal exoskeleton that limited views and space. People can move closer to the edge near the water.”

Hoppen and Wright were not the only designers to introduce design features to Celebrity Edge. The renowned designer, Patricia Urquiola was behind the design of the lounge area as well as the ship’s Cyprus restaurant and hub. Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku were also involved in the overall general, having created the Grand Plaza of Celebrity Edge.
