Extremis Welcomed All To A Parisian Bistro At Salone del Mobile 2018 – At Salone del Mobile 2018 (17 to 22 April), Extremis welcomed visitors to an authentic Parisian bistro. But the question now is why Paris, right? And the answer is because the City of Romance, the City of Love, the City of Lights has found its ultimate tool for togetherness at last: ‘Bistroo’ was at Isaloni 2018 to hold you as you sit side by side, watching the world go by. Whether you’re gazing at the boats on the Canal St. Martin or allowing an attractive passer-by to catch your eye, everything is prettier and more exciting with a buzz of French in the background. Discover all these innovations in the fantastic atmosphere of their exhibition in hall 16, stand B20. The stand was extremely easy to be identified by the picturesque red façade. CovetED Magazine invites you to meet these amazing outdoor furniture pieces and be inspired for the next summer days to come.

Don’t make anything, unless it is both necessary and useful … and if it is, don’t hesitate to make it beautiful. SHAKER QUOTE
Visitors were able to enjoy a continental breakfast or delicious hors d’oeuvres at the table. The specially designed hole in the table was meant to be the ideal place for the garçon to leave a tray of herbs and condiments. No need to worry about your fork falling through the slats of rickety tables. The Bistroo remained perfectly stable on an outdoor terrace thanks to its three cleverly-positioned legs. The fact that this ingenious new concept is quick to stack and lock away is another great benefit. But true romance need not limit itself to just one city. Why not bring a little bit of Paris into your home? Or – even better – put it right outside your door!
To keep you protected from the sun at any hour of the day, Extremis is launching the ‘Acacia’ parasol. You can direct this eccentric parasol towards the sun so that it can create as much shade as a larger parasol, despite its relatively small surface area. Instead of closing it, simply take off the canopy and put it away. You will be left with a sculpture inspired by the branches of the African Acacia. When the sun goes down, the integrated lighting beneath the parasol canopy creates a warm ambiance.

NO BISTRO WITHOUT A BAR STOOL
Another new piece for this year is the Tiki. A surprisingly simple, pared-down bar stool, ideal for outdoor use, with a footrest that gives you unlimited freedom of movement. We even have a word for a whole tower of Tikis: a ‘Tikitiki’. The tower is very compact, and the stools can still be stacked even if they have the optional backrest. You can also go for the indoor version with a wooden seat.
Why does the brand build new products? Is it just for the sake of launching a new product? Or is there a deeper rationale? At Extremis, they only start developing an idea if it is both necessary and useful. If it offers a solution. And makes you look at things differently. That is their absolute starting point.

From that point on, the team takes the Idea on a journey to create the best possible impact. Only the strongest ideas have the ability to ripple outward and span decades, not years. They aim to inspire the future by changing today’s way of thinking.
To maximize that impact, they employ only the highest quality materials and cutting-edge processes. To construct strong and durable products that sling that one, foundational idea into the future.
The best way to make a product last, however, is to make it beautiful. In every aspect. To inspire both care and enjoyment. And become a focal point of the memories and experiences that make life itself truly beautiful.
That is the impact they strive to create. By transforming radical ideas into game-changing designs. Designs that are not only useful, durable and beautiful in themselves but also have the power to spark meaningful connections and enhance the way they interact with one another. A necessary condition for every Extremis design and the traces it leaves behind.
