THE MOSCOW FLAT: A LUXURIOUS AND REFINED PROJECT IN SOUTH AFRICA

November 25, 2021

The Moscow Flat is a project based in South Africa created by Formvision in partnership with Meetsales and Covet Group. The idea was to create a space with a style inspired by neoclassicism, without leaving aside the foundations of Formvision’s work that involve technology and the construction of modern spaces. Every space of this flat was precisely well elaborated, all rooms are composed with harmony, balance, and elegance: starts with the living room and goes to the sober and strong silhouette found between the dining room and the kitchen — and you can also find a special golden glow in the bar. The bedroom is the place where comfort meets luxury minimalism and the bathroom is the perfect place to relax with a noble and exquisite composition.

Get ready to see a wonderful flat that mixes references of mid-century furniture, minimalist shapes in luxury pieces that bring the perfect balance between elegance and comfort in the same space. Let´s start!

LIVING ROOM

If we could sum up this living room with just three words they would be harmony, balance, and elegance. Through minimalist shapes, clean lines and neutral colors, the tone here is refinement and modernity, which are combined with the comfort brought by round lines and organic shapes. Inside the perfect harmony between the elements, stand out APOLLO modern rug (Rug’Society) and Burj Chandelier (LUXXU), masterpieces that bring both a special brightness to this living room.

DINING ROOM & KITCHEN

This open dining room integrated with the kitchen formed together with a sober and strong silhouette that could remember an industrial and modern air, contrasting with the clean lines and neutral tones present – a very well-executed balance between the elements that compose it. The room features references from Jazz (Dorsey suspension light), mid-century style, and natural materials (in wood and leather from the Perry dining chair and the Estremoz marble from the Agra II dining table) – referring to some of the neoclassicism characteristics, finished with all the beauty of the gold door pulls (Skyline Door Pull – PullCast). And still counts with the charm of a custom version of the Perry Dining Chair and the modern touch of the Ike Pendant Lamp (DelightFULL).

BAR

A golden open bar, a place to have a good laugh and experience moments that will remain in the memory. The combination of the classy and timeless elegance of the Kelly Chair with the apparent delicacy but the strong structure of the Pharo small pendant makes the room with an ideal charm and balance. Pleasant to receive, perfect for living.

BEDROOM

A master bedroom should be the most comfortable zone of a house, right? And in this project comfort meets luxury minimalism. The symmetry in the geometric lines gives the feeling of clarity and proportional space. The combination of Zelda single sofa with Vinicius side table shows the best reunion of comfort and style. And a perfect match between Cauca round rug with Ike pendant light.

BATHROOM

Noble and exquisite: the best two words to describe this bathroom don’t you agree? The Lapiaz with the inspiration of natural stone cracks, The timeless three-hole mixer tap, the Eden towel rack, and the Pharo small pendant are a perfect orchestra to our eyes, we can almost hear the sound. A comfortable and balanced place to relax.
