Upgrade Your Luxury Interiors With Cambria’s Marble Collection – All over the years, marble has been a symbol of elegant homes and a solid inspiration since ancient times. And for an excellent reason. Marble is a strong statement piece in a room and easily blends in with other elements to create an illuminated and airy space. Designers and their clients know this potential and no one can be immune or event doubt of this stone’s charms even in this modern era. However, it’s a weaker stone and highly porous. That’s why the luxury brand Cambria designed this Marble Collection: to be an ideal alternative that offers longer-lasting performance and an endless set of advantages that you find below.

Marble does come with some problems. It’s a weaker stone and highly porous, meaning an eagle-eye approach to maintenance is needed to keep it looking its best. Chemical sealants can only do so much to protect the color, and chips and scratches can happen with alarming ease.

That’s why Cambria’s Marble Collection is an ideal alternative that offers longer-lasting performance and a bevy of beautiful, inspired-by-marble looks. With advanced technology, Cambria manufactures their products with sustainably sourced, naturally clear quartz. This abundant material is significantly stronger than marble and requires the bare minimum of upkeep—warm water and clean cloth are all that is needed.

“It’s kind of a no brainer to go with quartz,” says Summer Kath, executive vice president of design and business development at Cambria. “People love the tonality, depth, and veins of color in marble but they don’t love the maintenance. We have taken inspiration from nature and added our own Cambria signature look in a more durable material. Quartz technology wasn’t originally invented to create looks with such depth and vast movement, but through Cambria’s proprietary technology we’ve driven this change in the category and demand has explode.”
The Marble Collection currently contains over 25 original designs, all named after different towns, castles, or rivers in Wales and the United Kingdom. Ten new designs have been released over the course of 2018, including the arresting black-and-white Mersey, the muscular Levven, and the watery Skara Brae. These three designs in particular hint at an emerging trend in surfaces.

“The popularity of these three looks suggests that homeowner’s are desiring bolder styles for their countertops,” explains Kath. “People will begin to gravitate towards strong black and white patterns, like Mersey. Also, grays will continue to be in fashion.”
