Interior Design Tips: Two Moodboards Inspired by the Mid-Century Style ⇒ The Mid-century design style has long been one of the favourites among homeowners and interior designers alike. This happens so because this movement embodies all the enticing characteristics one seeks for their home decor, from its simplicity to its organic yet sleek features. Nevertheless, this style can also add an opulent dimension to your interiors with the introduction of simple lines, pure forms, innovative accents and even out-of-the-box elements. Today, CovetED will disseminate two awe-inspiring design moodboards that were based on this outstanding style whose creations are often inspired by the ’50s and ’60s.

In these incredible design moodboards you can see below, you can find displayed some of the most iconic mid-century pieces that are some of the best representations of this style, from wallcoverings to rugs as well as furniture designs and even complete interior spaces, so be prepared to be inspired.
The Yarsa rug by Rug’Society was inspired by the German avant-garde movement Bauhaus. Its geometric features represent the modernism in design and architecture.
Featuring strong line, the Hudson armchair highlights a body structure produced in solid walnut wood with metal complements on its base, made of polished brass. This piece gets a more sober touch courtesy of its leather upholstery.
The Kleo cushion by Home’Society presents elegant shapes dressed in velvet. This design was hand embroidery and also features natural silk and dazzling jacquards, becoming a true piece of art with a timeless soul.
The unique container series of hand-built ceramic vessels was created by Erica Prince, designed with the purpose of bringing awareness to the act of choosing, placing, arranging and compartmentalizing.
The Hicks’ Hexagon wallpaper by Cole & Son is an outstanding small-scale geometric wallcovering that comes with an original combination of colours, in the image above, you can see an incredible contrast of charcoal with gold.
Built entirely out of solid walnut wood, accented by its gold plated brass front doors that feature a protruding circular design. The Monocles sideboard gets a lot of character and a high-end look from its engraved circles
CJ Hendry designed “Monochrome”, a seven-room home where all of the rooms highlight one monochromatic colour, thus creating a visual feast for the eyes.
The Ellen dining chair and the Dolly coffee table, both by Essential Home, are a luxurious complement to any mid-century dining room. The former design is upholstered in velvet, in mixed tones, contrasting perfectly with its polished brass legs. The latter design highlights a Nero Marquina marble top and a traditional brass band. Its base is finished in gold plated brass and accented by a black lacquer finish.
Ivete is a mid-century floor lamp shaped like a palm tree, that features a square Carrara marble base and gold plated brass leaves.
