“Nathalie” is Flou’s ground-breaking bed that despite having been in the market for 40 years, still preserves its enviable freshness.

As a celebration of the 40-year landmark of this bed design, Flou has decided to launch  ‘NATHALIE Limited Edition’ which will include only 299 pieces. Even though the design faithfully reproduces one of the 1978 versions – in which the headboard and cushion covers match the duvet cover – for this limited edition, the fabrics were selected from the ‘Antique Gold’ range.

There is also a commemorative book dedicated to Nathalie and to Flou which illustrates the 40-year journey taken by the first and most famous textile bed produced by a company that created the “culture of sleep”. The book also highlights the most important milestones in a partnership that began back in 1978 between designer Vico Magistretti and industrialist Rosario Messina.

Parallel to this, there is also a short film dedicated to Nathalie. – This short tells the story of a family through a suggestive and poetic language that includes fragments of life, emotions, traditions, and teachings. These moments are bound together by a common feature and a joining thread – the bow – which at the end of the story is revealed to be the ‘perfect bow’ on the headboard of Nathalie.
