The Embrace Tables and the Embrace Chair further enhance the versatility of this amazing furniture series by the Austrian design trio EOOS. Embrace Lounge Chairs

The beginning of a new partnership between Carl Hansen & Son and the innovative designers behind EOOS drew a lot of attention. The Austrian design trio and Danish furniture manufacturer began their creative dialogue with Embrace Armchair – a reinterpretation of the classic dining room chair with soft upholstery and attractive shape. Since then more pieces of furniture have been added including an armchair and a footrest. Carl Hansen & Son and EOOS now join the Embrace series chairs around a new table concept, Embrace Tables, with a strong visual identity that makes the series even more versatile.

“The Embrace chairs represent something entirely new, expressing at the same time the DNA of Carl Hansen & Son that unites craftsmanship and high quality. The design was exceptionally well received, so it’s simply natural to complement the series with more tables and an armless dining room chair – to create a series of yet more versatile furniture, “says Knud Erik Hansen, CEO of Carl Hansen.

Embrace Table

Embrace Tables: Inspired by the lightness of a floating paper kite. “With the new dining room tables and living room tables, the EOOS trio was once again able to successfully reinterpret a well-known piece of furniture with respect for our design legacy, exact production requirements and elegant aesthetics. The tables made of wood and steel have a distinctive sculptural expression that offers great functionality because the table legs have been pulled to the centre to maximize legroom, “explains the CEO of Carl Hansen & Son, Knud Erik Hansen.

The trio was inspired by the poetic dance of a paper parrot in the sky. The thin metal frame of the frame resembles the yarn of a paper parrot, and the tops refer to the parrot itself, while the wooden cradle acts as an anchor and represents gravity. Along with the new Embrace Tables, Carl Hansen & Son is presenting a new armless dining room chair for the series: The Embrace Chair that has the same essential structure as the dining chair with armrests. The new chair is visually lighter and takes up less space, and transmits more dynamism and movement. “You can sit the way you want with great freedom of movement. In other words, it is an ideal chair for communication between people, »says EOOS. The Embrace Chair series now includes a dining chair with armrests, an armless dining chair, an armchair and a footrest, all born of the same idea: a perfect wooden frame with soft padding.
