Discover a Beautiful Winter Chalet in Switzerland by Kelly Hoppen ⇒ This stunning chalet designed by one of the best interior designers in the world, Kelly Hoppen, is located in the heart of a luxurious ski resort in Switzerland. Originally two separate apartments, the chalet boasts an impressive 2,900 square feet laid out over one floor. As well as having an incredible view of the lake surrounding it, the chalet enjoys a spacious open plan living and dining room, a kitchen, four double bedrooms, four bathrooms, one guest toilet, a grand entrance hall, and a lovely outdoor terrace that wraps around the beautiful winter home.

The goal of this impressive project was to achieve an elegant and homely space in Kelly Hoppen’s infamous style. Successfully, the luxurious Swiss chalet stays true to Hoppen’s design philosophy and signature neutral palette of white, cream, grey, taupe, and beige. Patterned wallpaper and small accents of dusty pink and emerald green can also be found throughout giving the traditional property a modern twist.

Moreover, in order to keep the chalet’s rustic charm, Hoppen used many natural materials including wood, linen, marble, and coral. She also used textures such as velvet to add new dimensions to the space.

The secret to the luxury vibe, in the otherwise rustic interior, is the perfectly chosen furnishings, lighting, and accessories – many of them bespoke or provided by some of the top design brands.

Restoration Hardware wall lamps and chandelier add almost magical charm to the entrance hall, casting slightly dimmed, warm light on the cream walls. Immersed in acrylic, wooden blocks work perfectly as side tables next to the bespoke sofas in the living room.  One of CovetED’s favourite elements is the stunning side table lamp from Porta Romana in an intensely fresh shade of emerald green, which together with matching pillows gives the whole project a secret punch hidden in one of the bedrooms.

All the beautiful accessories, bowls, vases, and cushions set around the house to give that final touch and homey feel were naturally designed by Kelly Hoppen and are a part of her own collection that can be found at kellyhoppen.com.

The most amazing part of the chalet is the spacious terrace overlooking the mountains. With its comfortable chairs and warm furs, it invites you to take a seat and admire the endless beauty of the surrounding nature.

The main challenge when designing this chalet was that the original build of the house was not to be changed. As a result, neither outdoor lighting nor railings could be added to the façade of the property. In addition to the majestic Swiss scenery surrounding the chalet, its interiors are glamorous and truly timeless whilst remaining cosy and inviting, creating the perfect winter getaway.
