The museum in Miami expresses a big interest in art from around the world from the Renaissance to modern art. The Bass Museum was built on the resources from a private donation by art collectors John and Johanna Bass. Nowadays it is situated in the heart of the historic Art Deco District.
The Museum creates and presents traveling exhibitions from national and international collections in order to stimulate tourism and provide an important cultural destination for Miami Beach. Generally speaking, the Bass Museum of Art has unique architecture and exhibits, luscious landscaping and fabulous social events.

Peter Marino stated it is important to pinpoint that the Bass exhibition was not a retrospective. They’re showing architecture from just the past seven or eight years, and the largest part of this art collection, his Renaissance bronzes, were not a focus.
He considered the Miami audience to be quite pop, that is why most of the show may be called young, fun and hip. The exhibition also featured both Marino’s own projects and contemporary art from his collection, including pieces by artists Damien Hirst, Anselm Kiefer and Andy Warhol.
Peter Marino founded his New York-based architecture firm in 1978. He explores the renowned American architect’s multifaceted relationship with art. As it is known, Peter is the recipient of Design Miami’s inaugural Design Visionary award.
To sum up, Marino is a celebrity architect best known for his imitable style, unusual attire, retail buildings incorporating fine art in dazzling exteriors and interiors befitting luxury retailers Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton. He also designs high-end residential. Marino seems to be a collector and has in his possession works by some of the top-name artists in contemporary art.
