Meet the New Bellemore Restaurant Designed by Studio K  ⇒ Designed by local outfit Studio K, Bellemore Restaurant, in Chicago, is layered with so much texture that never feels overwhelming. The luxury design behind the restaurant mimics the essence of a grand manor but created with contemporary elegance.

The space feels grandiose with a high ceiling but is warm and inviting, with a bold colour palette paired with warm wood tones throughout. There are columns which are clad in a dimensional white-washed chevron wood and cast beautiful shadows from the spotlights that surround them.

Centrally placed are round booths in a deep burgundy colour, each with a custom half-dome pendant light anchored from the columns. A warm open kitchen serves as the beating heart of the space, adjacent is the semi-private dining room, with statement hand-painted wall mural featuring fanciful owls.

In that area is a large window looking into the working kitchen through a glass-backed bookcase that connects the space to the kitchen in a covert and observatory way. The floor plan circulates around a grand centralized server station, dressed with large-scale seasonal floral arrangements from a local floral designer. Chandeliers throughout the space are a custom creation with bistro globes interwoven into a brass floral weave design.

A 24-foot bar features softly lit brass pendant lights, a painted tambour front panel, a quartzite top, and plush velvet bar stools. When sitting at the bar, guests have a front-row view of the kitchen with a counter height chef’s table on one side, and a small mixology bar on the other. Finishing the space are surprising details such as taxidermy and custom made bird cages placed throughout.
