When Lake|Flato first started the company in 1984, having some ideas, they never thought it would become the great firm it is nowadays. They didn’t discard their beliefs, from the beginning knowing the kind of buildings they wanted to design, they pointed to an architecture that would respond to the needs of the surrounding environment so that it creates an impact around it too, in a meaningful way. Partnering with the best local craftsmen, creating and exploring, 30 years later, the mentioned beliefs continue to be apart of the company’s philosophy. It was not only the firm that grew but the entire team and the works that are part of its portfolio as well, the desire to design it’s not done, they realized that they get the best results if they combine family, building and place.
