Vista Alegre’s Porcelain and Glass Collections at Maison et Objet 2018 ⇒ The internationally acclaimed ceramic brand Vista Alegre presents at Maison et Objet its newest as well as classic porcelain and glass collections, which were the result of astonishing partnerships with famous designers like Marcel Wanders, Jaime Hayon and Christian Lacroix. It will also be Paris that the company returns to the lighting sector by showcasing an “innovative” line of lighting designed by Ross Lovegrove, called E2H – Earth To Humanity, comprised of four organically designed lamps.

According to the British designer, porcelain is an extraordinary gift from Earth to Humanity, seeing that it has properties and characteristics that must be respected while also being challenged through new approaches, this way it gains a translucency associated with a complex game of light in decorative lighting.

The Blue Ming Collection from the renowned Dutch designer, Marcel Wanders is also being exhibited at the stand. This collection is quite versatile and comprised of symmetrical parts with sculptural elements, reinventing the century-old tradition of Delft porcelain, called Delft Blue.

The Folkifunki collection designed by Jaime Hayon features mesmerising decorative pieces whose shapes are folkloric, surreal, rural and with a dash of humour. Art, craftsmanship in producing the porcelain and applying decorations – watercolour, gold, lines and details – make this a very special set.

At the event, Vista Alegre also presented the “Única Collection”, created from the combination of contemporary design with ancestral techniques of manual production of glass and coloured glass.

Lastly, the French luxury house Christian Lacroix launched the Primavera Line which is an ode to the sweetness of Spring. Consisting of several decorative and sculptural pieces, each design is highlighted by golden notes and gold and platinum filaments.
