The Beverly House Where JFK and Jackie O. Honeymooned Is On the Market ⇒ The Beverly House is currently on the market for an impressive $135 million, and with it comes a whole history of Hollywood glitz and glamour. Built back in 1927 by Gordon Kaufmann, the mansion is recognized as an emblem of Hollywood’s Golden Era. It was one of the destinations for JFK and Jackie O‘s honeymoon and later became JFK’s West Coast presidential election headquarter.

One of America’s most famous homes, The Beverly House, is currently on the market for an impressive $135 million, and with it comes a whole history of Hollywood glitz and glamour. The 50,000-square-foot home sits on 3.5 acres, with 19 bedrooms and 29 full bathrooms. Built back in 1927 by Gordon Kaufmann, the mansion formerly served as the esteemed home of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst and actress Marion Davies; now it’s recognized as an emblem of Hollywood’s Golden Era, with what is known as H-form architecture.

Several of the home’s highlights include a two-story library with hand-carved panelling and a wraparound walkway; a state-of-the-art spa; and a billiards room with herringbone parquet floors, a hand-carved stone fireplace mantle, and an intricately designed ceiling virtually identical to one of the ceilings in the Hearst Castle.

Aside from the Hearst and Davies connection, the Beverly House has also played host to a number of other famous faces. It was one of the destinations for Jacqueline and John F. Kennedy’s honeymoon and later became JFK’s West Coast presidential election headquarters. It was also featured prominently in The Godfather, starring Marlon Brando, and The Bodyguard, starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.

The home is located just three blocks from Sunset Boulevard and the Beverly Hills Hotel, and can easily accommodate up to 400 guests for a seated dinner and more than 1,000 for a casual get-together. As an added bonus, The Beverly House is extremely private, with four wrought-iron security gates that block off an 800-foot driveway leading up to the house.
