Missoni Home Welcomes Poppies at Maison et Objet 2018 ⇒ Simple and delicate, the poppy is a favourite and reoccurring floral motif for Missoni Home. Maison et Object 2018 was the place chosen by the brand to present its new collections: Poppies FR, Poppies Night and Poppies Day.

Poppies Day

According to Missoni Home, the fabric itself is fundamental. It creates a game of visual and tactile emotions, with light and colour, offering matt and silky contrasts, compact structures, layered embroidery and metamorphic effects. The fabric gives shape and support to the design of seating and furniture and provides surface reliefs that are always different. The garden is like a wonderland. Colours bloom and amongst swaying stems are found multicolour poppies and vivid butterflies. These decorative compositions dance on contrasting backgrounds of night and day. The refined manufacturing techniques give decoupage effects, overprints and artistic embroideries. Natural and botanical subjects are accompanied by a game of delicate flames of varying intensity, chevrons, optical inserts and geometric reliefs. These different pieces are designed for a perfect coexistence, to be composed and dismantled at will.

Poppies FR is an airy game of black & white flames. The seating modules allow the layout to be customised and cushions of different sizes complete the puzzle. All the fabrics are a reversible jacquard Trevira CS with 3D effect. The modular sofa has elements of different volume that join in perfect stability. Viscose and cotton rugs give an effect of negative-positive.

In Poppies Night, on a black & white backdrop, the precious hues of a field of exuberant poppies and colourful butterflies dotted among the stems, pop with colour. Colours and textures create layers on a reversible jacquard, like a painted canvas. The undulating flower stems decorate the double cushion of the backrest, in pure cotton reversible jacquard.

Poppies Night also brings something truly special for bedlinen. This flower garden transfers to the bed and covers it with large poppies. Duvet cover and pillowcases in digitally printed cotton sateen, cushion with a black background and wavy stems and Cushion with a black background and precious embroidered metallic zigzags comprise the family.
