Kanye West Is Starting Is Own Architectural Line, Yeezy Home – Kanye West keeps on stunning the world through Twitter. After sharing with his followers his unpopular political opinions, last week, West shared a long time dream: to create his very own architectural line. Coming as a branch of his luxury footwear and fashion brand, Yeezy, Yeezy Home ”wants to change the world” through design. The North-American Rapper is known for having a very creative mind, one that is never put to rest. As for the designs, one can merely expect.

“We’re starting a Yeezy architecture arm called Yeezy home. We’re looking for architects and industrial designers who want to make the world better,” West Tweeted. West first mentioned his interest in pursuing architecture and design in a 2013 interview with the BBC. “I want to do product, I am a product person,” he said. “Not just clothing but water bottle design, architecture… I make music but I shouldn’t be limited to one place of creativity.” He went on to explain that he was working with “five architects at a time” to figure out exactly what he wanted.

Later that year, he spoke to students at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, telling students, “I really do believe that the world can be saved through design, and everything needs to actually be ‘architected.’… I believe that utopia is actually possible — but we’re led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political.”.

Of course, the Rapper is no stranger to major architectural projects. He worked closely with Axel Vervoordt to design his and wife Kim Kardashian West‘s 8,000-square-foot Hidden Hills home, sharing some photos of the project during a recent Twitter outpouring. After his initial tweet, West also shared some additional images of home spaces, though it’s unclear from the context whether or not they’re part of Yeezy Home.

The rapper has also been known to design his own furniture, and was reportedly in talks with Ikea for a collaboration back in 2016, though nothing came of the discussions. Still, just last year West was nominated for the prestigious Beazley Designs of the Year Award‘s fashion category for the merchandise from his Life of Pablo tour.
