5 Innovative Design Products Unveiled at Biennale Interieur 2018 ⇒ The 26th edition of the beloved international trade show Biennale Interieur saw its conclusion last week, however, the design community is still talking about some of the astonishing and original designs shown during the event based in Kortrijk, Belgium. Today, CovetED will feature five of the most innovative product launches that were unveiled during the trade shows that has as its main purpose showcasing contemporary forms and creativity in the fields of design, product development and innovation.

The Paris-based firm, SCMP Design Office presented a new industrial lighting design, the Dorval 01 during light. Showcased in collaboration with the Montreal-based design firm, Lambert & Fils.

Having its origins in industrial design, the stunning Dorval pays tribute to this exquisite style. It is comprised of four aluminium heads with LED panels and can act as both a pendant or chandelier. Dorval features slip rings where each head can be turned to distribute light in any sort of direction. Its design showcases unmatched precision allowing for the lamp to keep its balance and alignment

Linde Freya Tangelder has created the Bolder Chair which features a stunning sculptural aesthetic. The chair is made entirely from a clipboard and pressed textile fibre board. The creator designed this exclusive piece for emerging Belgian design collective Brut, who is best known for showcasing dark-toned objects in an incredible tribute to the industrial mining heritage of Belgium.

The Brussels-based design duo, Sment recently launched the remarkable Gestalt Collection, comprised of a low table, lamp and bench that were made of hand-mixed pigmented concrete. As a whole, the design of these unique products can be translated into art objects.
This intriguing and elegant piece actually received the Interieur Awards regarding the Objects category. Designed by Bram Kerkhofs, the Coil shelf/cupboard is comprised of 400 metres of elastic rope and has plenty of storage place. This piece comes only in grey and it becomes the owner’s responsibility to add colour by placing vibrant objects inside.

Contemporary and timeless beauty come together perfectly in this exquisite collection.
