The Esteemed Feria Hábitat Valencia 2017 concluded another large-scale edition just a couple of days ago. With a business-filled environment, the international show celebrated offered a platform for industry professionals to showcase their latest products to a discerning audience. The return of the traditional fair of furniture, lighting and decoration was marked by the presence of more than 400 international brands.
The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, headed the institutional representation in an official act of inauguration which was also attended by other leading figures, such as the Minister of Sustainable Economy, Rafael Climent, the mayor of Valencia and president of Feria Valencia’s Board of Trustees, Joan Ribó, and the president of the fair, Jose Vicente González. All of the involved highlighted the dynamism of the furniture sector and welcome all visitors to the greatest reference of Spanish furniture.

For exhibitors, the fair is an excellent opportunity to introduce themselves and their products. At the event, everyone had a great chance to find an overview of the current offerings on the market, to exchange ideas with fellow colleagues, and to establish business contacts.
With an exhibiting space of 45,000 square metres, the event features around 21% of foreigner exhibitors from all over the world, including Germany, South Korea, Slovenia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, the Dominican Republic, the Czech Republic and Turkey. The participation of Spanish-based exhibitors increased due to the presence of modern, contemporary and youthful furniture firms.
The fair was completed with cultivated activities and experiences, such as talks about diverse matters, including discussions about the “vente-privee” type of commerce, eco-healthy lighting solutions and several enticing conferences, including one with the famous Argentine architect, Diego Gronda, and a meeting with renowned Chinese designer, Ben Wu. The event also introduced the online platform “lightingspain.com” as well as initiatives like the Congress Habitat 2017 and the Furniture Council of Spain.
