Explore the Modern and Contemporary World of Art Basel Miami Beach ⇒ Art Basel Miami returns for yet another thrilling edition and will benefit from the participation of more than 200 of the most prestigious and international modern and contemporary art galleries from all around the world. The artistic event will take place from 6-9 December and today, CovetED gathers some of the best features as well as discloses a series of luxury hotels, fine dining venues and design attractions in Miami Beach for one to fully explore.

Art Basel has been active since 1970 and it has always been a place where galleries and collectors could present high-quality pieces and discuss the magnificence of design, alongside critics and curators. At the present time, Art Basel has an overall account of three fairs, one in Switzerland, other in Miami Beach, and lastly one in Hong Kong.

Besides the art galleries, Nova, Positions, Edition, Kabinett and Survey will be the main sectors of the event. The first was designed for galleries to present one, two or three artists who will show work they have done over the last three years. The second one presents a curated platform for a single artist to present one major project which in turn will allow curators, critics and collectors to discover new talent. The third one will be all about rare yet significant publications. Kabinett will be here galleries present a curated exhibition by an artist of their choosing. Lastly, Survey will be a space for the showcase of precise art historical projects.

Furthermore, Art Basel will once again host a series of conversations on topics concerning the global contemporary art scene. Conversations offers a platform for dynamic dialogues between prominent members of the international art world, each offering their unique perspective on producing, collecting, and exhibiting art. The Conversations space is programmed by Mari Spirito, the Founding Director of Protocinema, Istanbul/New York.
