Don’t Miss the Focus/18 Event at London Design Festival ⇒ One of the main events of the London Design Festival 2018 is Focus/18, from 16-21 September, at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Focus is universally recognised as a primary destination for creative excellence, bringing together thousands of tastemakers from the worlds of interior design, architecture and style.

Dedicated to inspire, inform and deliver the best in world-class talent, the dynamic programme offers more than 100 experiential sessions that bring design ideas to life. Colour, an international visual language in design, informs our aesthetic, consciously or subconsciously. This year, Focus/18 celebrates its positive power with ‘Journey of Colour’, a specially commissioned installation by international artist Moritz Waldemeyer which offers an unforgettable immersive experience of light, colour and movement.

Welcoming trade and retail visitors from around the globe, get the inside track at talks, demonstrations, workshops and discovery tours; meet established makers, emerging innovators and skilled artisans; listen to star names sharing their ideas and narratives at the Conversations in Design series; and connect with influencers and tastemakers from 120 showrooms and 600+ international brands.

At Focus/18, visitors can get top-level insights at a carefully curated programme of talks an panel discussions on the main stage with influential figures, as well as rising stars. Today, CovetED presents you the following sessions that are ticketed.

Sunday, 16 September

11.30am – 12.30pm

The Perfect Interior: Observations From Both Sides Of The Pond (at Design Centre East) – An international panel of experts made up of Timothy Corrigan, Adam Bray, Claire Sa and Sarah Spiteri, that will be talking the changing design landscape in America and in the UK.

3pm – 4pm

Personal Spaces: Creating & Capturing True Style (at Design Centre East) – Renowned tastemakers Allegra Hicks and Miguel Flores-Vianna talk about what informs and inspires their passion to create and capture highly individual interiors.

Tuesday, 18 September

3pm – 4pm

Veere Grenney: How I Decorate (at Design Centre East) – One of the most respected names in English decoration, Veere Greeny, and editor Hatta Byng will talk about their journeys to success.

Wednesday, 19 September

11.30am – 12.30pm

Elegance and Ease: An Ever-Evolving (at Design Centre East) – The great British designer Nina Campbell and interiors editor Giles Kime talk about Nina’s new book, where she talks about never-before-seen projects.

Thursday, 20 September

11.30am – 12.30pm

Influences and Influencers (at Design Centre East) – With the three acclaimed designers, David Bentheim, Fran Hickman and Karen Howes, who will be discussing the influences and influencers that have had a profound impact on their work.

3pm – 4pm

Distinctive Interiors: How to Decorate With a Difference (at Design Centre East) – With Neil McClennan, Nicola Harding, Charles Bateson and Georgina Cave, the talk will revolve around individual style, with lots of passion and humour.
