Softroom is an architectural and design studio based in London that is internationally recognized for its architecture and interior design portfolio which includes projects of restaurants, hotels, lounges and bridges. Recently, the team came up with a stunning Eurostar Lounge for business-class passengers at Paris Gare du Nord that changed the essence and the meaning of luxury.

Located on the top floor of the 19th century Parisian Station, the mission is to cater the interests and improve the comfort of Eurostar‘s growing business-class customers, who prefer high-speed rail over plane. In order to create a more comfortable environment whether for business or leisure travellers, Softroom designed a Parisian apartment instead of a departure lounge.

The interior design is furnished with marble fireplaces, a dining area, a cocktail bar, and a soft seating room which is in face of the main station. The spectacular circular cocktail bar and the luxury velvet upholstery are embraced by the sophisticated colours that can range from pastels, whites and greys.

The entire space invites you on an extravagant journey through the world of luxury and sophistication.

“With its elegant design, calm environment and digital connectivity, the lounge will provide an unrivalled level of style and comfort for our business customers,” said Eurostar chief executive Nicolas Petrovic.

Softroom has completely re-imagined and reinvented the emblematic architecture of the original building and designed a space that is “divided” into various and different spaces to be the stage for all types of occasions. The lounge provides a flexible and cosy environment whether in the working area or in the relaxing cocktail bar.
