Discover What is Still to Come on Asian Week at Design Centre London ⇒ Having started yesterday, Asia Week at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour is one of the most original and multi-dimensional exhibitions in London. Developed in association with the Asian Art in London, the event gathers a wide range of renowned designers, architects, international collectors, art lovers and luxury seekers that come together to celebrate the great influence that Asian culture and art have in this region. Today, CovetED will tell you an about a series of features that are yet to happen at this event that will see its conclusion on the 9th of November.

Asian art sees a resurgence in popularity and the event will offer a highly curated selling exhibition that cannot be missed. From mixed media to woodblock painting as well as lithographs, glasswork, ceramics and stoneware, during Asian Week you’ll get to see a comprehensive range of works that merge tradition and modernity. In addition, the Design Centre will have a dazzling space featuring an impressive selection of emerging and established galleries, such as ArtChina, Genrokuart, Hugentobler Collection, Kamal Bakhshi, Singapore Art Garret Gallery (SAAG), The Han Collection and The October Gallery.
Asian Week at Design Centre has an immersive programme of talks, workshops, masterclasses and even art tours that explore the timeless appeal of the Asian aesthetic as well as the creative osmosis between East and West.

Loveness Lee
Some of the talks that you cannot miss are the one regarding the jewellery and design work of Loveness Lee, taking place on the Ground Floor (3pm), a talk about a Fusion of Japanese and Scandinavian design by Style Library (11am) as well as the Hugentobler Collection Explored (12pm) conference where curator Louise Malcolm will give insights about this collection of Modern Vietnamese art. The work of artists Xuân Phái and Nguyễn Tư Nghiêm will also be featured. All of these will take place tomorrow.

On the following day, you have to check out the Exotic Indienne by Jacaranda Carpets (11am), The Wonders Of Georgian Chinoiserie where designer Tim Gosling will talk about the original pattern books and rare engraved designs by architect John Nash (11:30am), and The Magic of Carpet Weaving, Marco Sacco will discuss the beauty, technique and craftsmanship of this unique art.
