CovetED Presents the Ultimate Guide for Milan Design Week 2019 ⇒ Every year, Milan gets a lustrous touch courtesy of a wide variety of events and exhibitions that either take place in the Salone Internazionale del Mobile or throughout the city, in the coveting design districts. These come to challenge and elevate the notion of design and luxury, and today, CovetED will present an ultimate design guide that design enthusiasts and industry professionals should follow for Milan Design Week 2019, which will be taking place from 8-14 April. The first prize of SaloneSatellite Award was awarded to Stefano Carta Vasconcellos (Italy) for his Cucina Leggera (Light Kitchen) project, a kitchen unit that can be assembled by interlocking the elements that compose it. The second prize went to Tink Things (Croatia) for the Tink Things project, products that give shape to a comfortable and stimulating environment for children of all ages. Yuri Himuro (Japan) came in third for the Soft Block project, a new home decorative object that recalls a soft toy brick. The European Year Award for Cultural Heritage was awarded to Sakari Hartikainen (Finland) for his Savoa project, an environmentally sustainable table that reflects the search for harmony in our lives. Lastly, the Banca Intesa Sanpaolo Award was delivered to Mutarq (Mexico) with the Claro project, a flat and ultra-light bookcase that offers greater storage space with minimum use of the material.
