Joana Vasconcelos is a renowned Portuguese artist. Her participation in the 2005 edition of the Venice Biennale affirmed her career within the international art circuit with the piece ‘A Noiva’ (The Bride) – a huge scale chandelier made of over 25,000 OB tampons.

Ever since then we are used to seeing her come up with some the inventive creations in the plastic arts field. Some of her most famous collections include – Call Center, Red Independent Heart, Rooster of Barcelos  – and many more.
