Celebrate Ford GT 66 Heritage Edition of 2017

Ford presents its brand-new limited edition superior car which is named as Ford GT 66 Heritage Edition. It was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company’s iconic 1-2-3 victory at Le Mans in 1966. That is the best way to honor that glorious period and 50 years from the 1966 Le Mans victory, than by illustrative this ’66 Heritage Edition of the Ford GT. The car also pays tribute to drivers Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon and features a special Shadow Black exterior color finished in either gloss or matte finish.

The exterior of the unique car includes 20-inch forged aluminum wheels finished in a well shade of gold satin with contrasting black lug nuts. Beside the primary classic color black, there are chic silver touches on top and side of the car.

The exterior design manager of the car, Garen Nicoghosian, says the team set out to highlight where it all started with the Ford GT. “While the looks are distinctly based on the GT40 Mark II race car,” he says, “we’ve accentuated new styling cues to provide a modern interpretation.”

Interior design of the amazing car includes carbon fiber seats with Ebony leather upholstery and pillowed inserts. In addition, interior tweaks include matte carbon fiber trim and an individually-numbered plaque. Special seat belts with blue webbing are also featured as a throwback to those used in the 1966 race winning car.
