Innovative brand, Bosa was present at the phenomenal Maison et Objet 2017, showcasing original, playful and historical inspired products of ceramics. 1976 marks the beginning of this extraordinary design identity whose skills on mastering the art of applying ancient techniques go beyond any measures. Their ceramic objects are purely made by hand and then improved by a richly use of colours and precious metals. Giving a new meaning to ceramics, it is these precise techniques that allow Bosa to become one of the most enticing brands in the industry who has collaborated with many proficient designers or brands of our time, such as Marco Zanuso Jr. and Minotti.

In this segment of the article, you will be able to see the original ceramic productions that were shown in the January edition of the acclaimed trade show, Maison et Objet 2017. From whimsical designs to functional accessories, this were Bosa’s highlighted pieces:
Elena Salmistraro was responsible for this ingenious design that features 3D textures in detail. This collecton of cups, entitled Escamas was inspired from a wide variety of natural sources, such as animal shells and Arabic decorations.
“The momonsters are colourful souls who live in the my realm. They are the thrills of a fair ride, but without the fear. Their home is an abandoned fairground. They are little sculptures made of clay, paper and resin. Every now and then, one of them comes to life and becomes a piece of pottery, a painting or a cartoon strip.,” this is just a taste of how designer Giovanni Motta described his amusing yet insightful creation.
Representing each zodiac sign in different colours, these twelve little monsters are portable designs that were handmade to detail and then cooked on fire and painted with crystalline glosses in order to assert their brightness of the jewels.

Primates could be best described as a memorable and sentimental collection of vases in fine ceramic and plates. Each piece was specifically design with the intent of reminiscing over the relationship between man and ape, and, so by consequence, these vases and plates almost have a soul of their own that can be seen through the unique details and colourful textures. – “The ape is the animal that best evokes man, in the shape of the body, expressions and movements. This power of similarity to man is what makes it fascinating.”
“The ceramic objects and accessories created by Bosa not only express the full range of its crafting expertise, but express its ceaseless experimentation with the potential of ceramic, with the aim of transforming formal and functional conventions into new interpretations, new functions and fantastic worlds”
