First and foremost, the Kartell design is mixed with personality and lifestyle. Kartell is working on many urban projects for the Salone del Mobile week, alongside the topic to be developed with the special fair stand set-up. The brand offers more than one product. Kartell offers an idea, an emotion and a concept that anyone can embrace, exponentially multiplying the possibilities to mix objects and personalise environments.

The great Kartell protagonists at the Salone del Mobile 2018 are the new projects that are still being finalised, along with the last final versions (ready to be sold worldwide) of some items that can become great icons of contemporary design: the Catwalk and Venice seats – of the Generic family by Philippe Starck -, the Matrix chair and the Cara armchair. Furthermore, the Jelly, from the Patricia Urquiola collection, will be enriched by a new sugar bowl with a spoon.

Catwalk, the Generic family designed by Philippe Starck
Designed for both outdoor and indoor use, the Catwalk is dedicated to the haute couture world and explores an interesting paradox: on one hand, the riches and the elegance of high fashion with its elegant clothes, and, on the other hand, the need for extreme humility and simplicity for seats designed for fashion shows, to enhance the great beauty of creations and the fashion world surrounding them.

Venice, the Generic family designed by Philippe Starck
Venice pays homage to the homonym city and the historical Harry’s Bar. The sitting room armchair interprets the mood of the small and aristocratic Venetian location with a thousand souls, a discrete style matched with extreme comfort.

Cara, designed by Philippe Starck
The Cara armchair, by which Starck is still exploring the “less is more” concept, is now ready for sale. As with all masterpieces, the result is extremely lightweight, elegant and immediately communicative, after the long research work done on materials and technologies where the rigour of classic lines and comfort meet and mix. A perfect synthesis of formalism and technological innovation, for an industrial creator product.
