Elegant, yet with a dismal touch, the exhibition was performed in one of the most beautiful and fascinating Milan’s palaces. Casa Degli Atellani, a stunning 15th-century building in the heart of Milan, is well known for its frescos and master paintings. It was restored by the renowned architect Piero Portaluppi. It consists now of a museum, a café, and private residences inside a walled garden, La Vigna di Leonardo.

Located close to Santa Maria Delle Grazie, it is one of Milan’s most precious gems waiting to be found. It was there where Leonardo da Vinci painted the Last Supper and owned and tended his very own vineyard, as aforementioned. This palace is undoubtedly a key piece of Milan’s history, and it is now tended to by Piero Potaluppi’s grandchildren. The family ensures the upkeeping of the whole property.

Dior Maison has invited seventeen artists to reinterpret one of its iconic emblems: the medallion chair. DimoreStudio has collaborated in this outstanding project which reflects the Casa Degli Atellani timeless modernity. This collaboration reinvents the Dior dream and perpetuates it. With its sense of timelessness and its French spirit, the Dior Medallion chair was deconstructed and turned into several pieces by Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran to reassembling it anew. The pieces were held together by precious bronze and brass clips, dressed in stucco gold leaves, composed of different handcrafted elements. Re-joining them all in a single piece is the exponent of elegance.

On top of this, the DimoreStudio has designed for Dior Maison a collection of 14 objects. This exclusive collection is composed of an exquisite set of elegant and precious objects: vases, trays, a candelabra, a lighter, an ashtray, place markers, picture frames and an umbrella holder.
