Specializing in the decoration of ultra-high-end residences, boutique hotels, and retail, Tristan Auer is one of the most sought-after entrepreneurial interior architects in the industry as his signature panache can be found across the globe. After working with some of the leading names in interior and product design, such as Christian Liaigre and Philippe Stark, Tristan Auer established his own design firm in 2002, Izeu. The designer’s signature style is best defined as a combination of uncluttered classicism and sensuous modernism, resulting in one-of-a-kind interior spaces and bespoke furnishings.
Over the years, Tristan Auer has collaborated with some of the world’s most respected real estate and hotel brands, adding an extra layer of luxury and French savoir-faire to each project. Conceptual in his approach but always tinged with a neoclassical style, Tristan Auer creates well-designed spaces with sophisticated details. It represents the French style succession, knowing how to mix styles and times, attached to the Art Deco spirit but remaining modern.
Auer has been associated with elegance and he has shown his remarkable understanding of the demanding world of luxury and has completed a wide number of projects worldwide, including the transformation and renovation of exclusive luxury hotels, including Les Bains and the Hotel de Crillon in Paris. Tristan Auer is also responsible for designing private villas and apartments in Paris, New York, London, the island of Mustique and in Oman. Another notable project that the designer is best known for is a refined and sumptuous jewelry box for Cartier.

“I like to embark on adventures with my clients. The goal is to let design and decoration soften their lives.” – Tristan Auer
For Tristan Auer, his job is all about designing an outstanding environment for each project, an interior that sparks emotion and resembles its users – as opposed to reproducing one successful recipe. No rule, no preconceived ideas, no prejudice. The only things that matter are listening to the clients, being attentive to their lifestyles, and considering the space, the volume, and the light.
