Based in Paris, the 43-year-old features in the ELLE Decor and AD 100 lists as one of the world’s most preeminent talent in architecture and interior design. Deniot has grown a passion for interior design since he was only a small child, when he began to draw and paint, making models of miniature structures and experimenting with several different styles, in order to define himself as a person and as an interior designer. This natural aptitude for working with textures and patterns was perfected during his education in his hometown. After graduating in 2000, the visionary set up his interior design firm that same year. CovetED is here to guide you on this journey! Have a look!
In France, amongst designers such as Christian Liaigre, Chahan Minassian or Gilles & Boissier, there is one name that never ceases to amaze us: Jean-Louis Deniot, the most proficient French interior designer.
Recognised worldwide for his eclectic and emblematic interiors, Jean-Louis Deniot is known for combining history with contemporary flourishes. His lines are filled with a multiplicity of layers, using vintage furniture, mixing patterns, textures, materials and pieces from different periods, and combining them with masterful elegance. His design aesthetic could be defined as French Chic, featuring timeless interiors with different variations of style and influence. Despite his tremendous mastery achieved over the years, Jean-Louis Deniot is more than used to tailor the décor around his clients’ styles and expectations, blending them with his informal and bold strong signature.
Chicago, Aspen, Beverly Hills, the Hamptons, Miami, New Delhi, Milan or Monaco are home to many of Deniot creations, in the midst of houses, apartments, penthouses, estates and palaces, designing incredible interiors from scratch, and also performing restoration projects such as Château Latour winery for French businessman and husband of Salma Hayek, François Pinault. Naturally, the birthplace of Jean-Louis Deniot, the City of Light, is also the perfect spot to gaze at a handful of mansions and private apartments designed by the young French.
