Founded in Milan in 2003 by Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci, DIMORESTUDIO is a full-service, global architectural and design studio that spans residential, retail and hospitality projects, in addition to, producing furnishings, textile and lighting designs under the name of Dimoremilano. The 19th-century location of Via Solferino in Milan’s Brera district is the heart of the business for the 40 plus person team as well as for Dimoregallery, the evocative setting which features a rotating installation of the collection of the great masters of the 20th century and contemporary designers, championed by the Gallery.

Moran, a North Carolina-born former graphic designer, and Salci, a former art director at Cappellini who was born in Arezzo in Tuscany, are a perfect fusion of talents. The story of their journey began in the same Milan location where DIMORESTUDIO currently operates and it developed and grew – year after year – thanks to a skillful combination of decoration, objects, modern art, important mid-century pieces, and finally, elements and spaces that they designed and produced themselves.

Dimore interprets memories and creates dreams. They are storytellers and experience builders. They create designs and atmospheres that recollect. A juxtaposition of contexts, spaces and elements that evoke emotion. A nonlinear narrative blurring nostalgia, present sensations and hopes. Pairing, mixing and matching different time periods. Artisanal techniques transmitted through generations. Old and new. Vintage and contemporary.
