Jonathan Adler

Jonathan Adler is known for his modern chic interior design style. He is a proud interior design business owner with several signature stores spread across the world, who keep inspiring people all over the world.

Even though this collection of buffets and cabinets by Jonathan Adler belong to different design lines, all three serve as perfect examples of his timelessly chic furniture design approach.

Finally, the third example belongs to the ‘Antibes Collection’ and it has been crafted from honeyed wood that has been oiled to reveal the wood’s natural beauty.  The organic, sculptural silhouette—the frame swells at the bottom and tapers towards the top—is complemented by the geometric rigour of the nailhead pattern.  Guaranteed to warm up a Park Avenue pad or chic up your chalet.

Ryan Korban

Interior Design Projects Our Top Home Inspirations of All Time

Living Room design by Ryan Korban

Ryan Korban is a young and bright interior design that also happens to be the most successful one from his generation (and with good reason). When it was time to choose a designer to develop the decor concept for the NoHo Condominium at the 40 Bleecker area, his sleek and bold aesthetic was the winner.

This project was conceived in collaboration with the landscape architect, Edmund Hollander, at the request of a private real estate developer (Broad Street Development). The result of this collaboration couldn’t be more inspiring – “modern luxury residence for a new generation of connoisseurs.”

Being a specialist on high-end retail design and having worked for remarkable houses, like Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and Aquazzura.

For Ryan Korban, 40 Bleecker is his first actual residential development, and he did a fantastic job with the property. In order to enhance the design of this 12-story condominium, he opted to introduce custom-designed products as this would appeal more to prime clients – ‘luxury is in the details!’

Then again, we explect no less from a designer who has previously worked with the likes of Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and even Aquazzura.

Rockwell Group

The Rockwell Group has left his design mark pretty much everywhere – from hotels to restaurants as well as product design – the Rockwell Group, or in this particular case, David Rockwell, is regarded as one of the most skilled and original designers of our time due to the eccentricity and dramatic style featured in his work.

In his most recent luxury rug collection, David Rockwell developed designs based on graphic and textural references which have resulted in sophisticated yet playful designs. Another particularity of these designs is that they have been entirely handmade.

Michael Smith

Interior Design Projects Our Top Home Inspirations of All Time

Bedroom Design by Michael Smith

Michael Smith‘s new project ‘Casa Del Mar’ is a Santa Monica institution since the roaring ’20s when it was the see-and-be-seen destination of the old Hollywood elite. Now the hotel has been revived into a  modern-day touristic location and filled with luxurious upgrades all done by the celebrity interior designer Michael Smith.

For example, in the case of the rooms, everything has been made new. – There are custom designed alder and walnut furnishings throughout, with particular attention paid to incorporating a wide variety of hues and textures. The ebony finished pieces contrast with the light blue walls, and there is a soft colour palette all over the rooms.

The bed is a rich walnut four-poster bed that includes luxurious white linens, lush chenille throws, and a bisque-coloured ceramic garden stool located at its base.

Other particularities of this room include – a hand-silvered mirror, a selection of thoughtfully chosen novels, as well as whimsical artefacts reflective of the property’s beach location; such as coral and vintage maps of downtown Santa Monica, inspired by an original print dating back to the 1930s.

Timothy Corrigan

Living Room Design by Timothy Corrigan

The Gardener’s Cottage designed by Timothy Corrigan and landscape designer Scott Byron who together positioned the long, narrow pool directly on an axis with both the cabana and the entrance hall – have done so in order to create a dramatic vista that dazzles visitors the moment they step at the front door

In fact, there are surprises unfolding at every turn. – The library and butler’s pantry may conjure notions of bygone upstairs-downstairs decorum, but in this home, the spaces cheerfully go with the flow of present-day family life. – The library is now part of a multigenerational hangout anchored by the big eat-in kitchen. As for the pantry, located next to a staircase leading to the basement gym and game room, it became a snappy refreshment bar.

In Timothy’s own words: “This is not what the sweet, cottagey exterior leads you to expect,”

Detail from a deluxe room with an en suite bathroom featuring twin sinks and ‘maths-book’ walls, all by Patricia Urquiola

One of the most exciting projects by Patricia Urquiola is the Room Mate Hotel in Milan. This 85-room hotel has a prime location right in the heart of the cultural, fashion and shopping area of the city. You can walk to both the Piazza Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele shopping mall, making this hotel a very glamorous and trendy choice.

Patricia Urquiola had complete freedom to interpret the brief in the way that would work best for the location and space, and the result is just beyond astonishing.

The hotel, literaly, aims to be a ‘home away from home’ so it was important to build a very familiar environment, where guests find everything they need to live temporarily in the rooms as if they were indeed in their own home.

In Patricia Urquiola’s own words – “Room Mate Giulia expresses the essence of Milan; it’s new, fresh, fun and welcoming. It embodies the city through its colours and materials. Room Mate Giulia has a lively personality and promises guests a unique experience in Milan”.
