DKOR Interiors is a Florida design company noticeable for working with three main mottos: “Concept. Collaborate. Create”. Their capacity of innovation is particularly noticeable with their incredible interior design project in Sunny Isles, Florida. CovetED will be taking you on a little tour inside of this unique home with some colourful surprises awaiting.

As you can tell by the full name of the project, the Hollywood Regency Turnberry Ocean Colony is a lovely example of a project with heavy inspiration from old-time cinematic glamour. The clients that contacted DKOR Interiors with this unique new challenge were, in the words of the designers “a family of snowbirds” who are very much in love with the charm that cinema brings into every home.

So, with the Hollywood concept fresh in their minds, DKOR Interiors invested in putting elements to enrich the comfort and quality of the home. We’re talking about comforting rich textiles such as velvets and silks, and some striking reflective surfaces such as glass and mirrors. And of course, the main highlight of the project, the colour variations found in the different rooms.

“Colorful” is the main adjective that best defines this project. The walls and ceilings in many of the home’s divisions are the basis of the dynamic added by the distinct colour choices, along with the general moulding design and furniture layout of each space. DKOR Interiors, of course, added a couple of surprises for each room.

For example, within the master suite, we can find coral red with accents of pearl and white with a focal point on the white leather tufted headboard wall. In the living room, the white canvas prevails, while at the same time being contrasted by the Tiffany blue doors for a soft contrast. Even the kid’s bedroom have their own surprises: while the girl’s room is dominated by warm pink and accented with white mouldings, the boy’s room, on the other hand, has an upholstered grey suede headboard and accents of royal blue.
