Our list of top interior designers is back, and this time we bring you the acclaimed architect and urban planner– Arno Brandlhuber. His work ranges from buildings to research projects, exhibitions to publications and political interventions.  He is also not afraid of dealing with aspects of the legislation that have an effect on architectural and urban production. Arno Brandlhuber works as an architect and urban planner, and in 2006 he founded Brandlhuber+, in Berlin. This is an office space where he collaborates with other architectural offices and disciplines.

Since 2017 Brandlhuber holds a professorship for architecture and design at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zürich) where he is focusing on the role of new media and technology, as arguments for future architecture.

In February, the gallery and multi-use ateliers, Terrassenhaus by Brandlhuber+, was one of the five shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe award 2019. – The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, Mies van der Rohe Award, is a Prize given biennially by the European Union and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe which acknowledges and rewards quality architectural production in Europe.

Arno Brandlhuber’s talents have no limits and, together with the artist and director Christopher Roth, Brandlhuber+ produced the film-series Legislating Architecture (2016), The Property Drama (2017), and Architecting after Politics (2018). The latter is part of an on-going traveling exhibition, which deals with the economization of space.
