Didier Gomez first started out as an Opera Singer, however, it was evident that his talents would lead him to a whole different area: interior design! In 1985 he took the challenge in association with his partner and fellow architect JJ Ory, and since then he became a marking figure in the panorama of French interior design. He’s been designing since 1978 (the very same year he launched his first furniture collections) and has also been remarkable as an interior architect since 1985. The most marking of his projects consists of projects mainly in boutiques, large stores, apartments, private homes, etc, as well as furniture design.

Didier Gomez is known for practising an art dedicated to well-being. We can see that in many of his amazing interiors such as the Café Roset in Moscow, La Coupole restaurant in the Printemps store in Paris, the Asia Lounge restaurant in Almaty and the Méridien Montparnasse in Paris, among many others.

Not to mention that Didier Gomez‘s list of clients is also impressive as well, with names which include Yves Saint-Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Louis Vuitton, Galeries Lafayette, Kenzo, Christian Dior, L’Oréal, among many more. This is dues to the timeless design that he applies to every single one of his projects.

Today Didier Gomez, aside from being a reference in interior design, he’s also an inspiration for many aspiring young designers who vow to tackle the industry. Among one of his most notorious collaborations we can name the one beside Ligne Roset, thanks to which, the two were awarded the `Nombre d’or’ by the Salon du Meuble de Paris.
