Standing proudly at the vibrant crossroads of Montera Street and Madrid’s bustling Gran Vía is the newly opened Hotel Montera Madrid, the premier Curio Collection by Hilton establishment in the heart of Spain’s capital. Boasting panoramic views of Madrid from its rooftop terrace, this historic building embodies the cosmopolitan, sociable, and open spirit of the city.

Spanning 10 floors, the hotel features 93 rooms, including 8 exclusive suites, a select restaurant, three terraces, a spectacular rooftop, and a cocktail bar offering breathtaking city views. Additionally, it offers privatizable event spaces. Designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the hotel’s interior reflects the eclectic, contrasting yet authentically Madrid vibe of Montera Street, seamlessly blending contemporary elegance with neoclassical architecture dating back to 1924.

The hotel’s design draws inspiration from traditional Spanish craftsmanship, with colorful graphics and interior elements paying homage to the iconic Montera hat rack—a symbol deeply rooted in Spanish culture. Hotel Montera’s rooms exude calmness and refuge from the bustling Gran Vía. Their elegantly refined design evokes a modernized version of Castilian style, incorporating urban tones and locally sourced materials for a timeless aesthetic. Directed by Íñigo Sánchez-Crespo, the hotel prioritizes sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices into every aspect of its design and operation.

A highlight of the hotel is the impressive 40-meter-tall artwork by Madrid-based artist Miguel Caravaca, adorning the main elevator’s panoramic glass panels, offering guests a unique visual journey through Madrid’s culture and history.The lobby, located on the 9th floor, houses the exclusive La Braserí restaurant, serving up a fusion of Madrid’s culinary delights with global influences in a casual, inviting atmosphere. Two outdoor terraces on the same floor offer privileged views of Gran Vía and Montera Street. Hotel Montera’s rooftop, complete with a pool and Balinese beds, provides 360-degree panoramic views of Madrid, while its cocktail bar, El Cielo de Chicote, pays homage to Spain’s cocktail heritage since 1931.

The hotel staff’s attire, designed by IQ Collection, pays tribute to the torero aesthetic, further enhancing the immersive experience. Additionally, the collaboration with Flores y Floreros brings forth the exclusive ‘Hotel Montera’ shoe collection, available for purchase.
