A place to stay. A palace to dream. With the eyes on the infinity of the ocean, Savoy Palace has an idyllic scenario where you will fall in love. At Savoy Palace, they open your horizons for days of absolute luxury and pleasure, where all experiences are personalized down to the smallest detail and where the most natural thing is to let yourself be dazzled by landscapes full of diversity and historical legacy.
Icon of classic hospitality in Madeira, the Savoy Palace is inspired by the elegance of the spaces and the comfort sublimated by the details, whose expressiveness will be felt in the quality of the materials, the perfection of the finishes, the smoothness of the textures and the richness of the decorative elements and the interior design project.
Designed by Nini Andrade Silva, and with a timeless classic nature, the interior design project is influenced by a period in recent world history, called the Belle Époque, which is reborn in total harmony with the island’s cultural resources, in an exciting journey between the existing natural and intangible heritage. We refer to the exuberance of the surrounding nature, the uniqueness of the humanized landscape where the levadas and old tunnels stand out, the excellence and mastery of Madeira Embroidery, the centuries-old art of working Wicker and the wisdom associated with the production of one of the best wines in the world – Madeira Wine. Working together, these unique resources are at the base of the metamorphosis between conceptual inspiration and the materialization of the interior design project.
Deeply rooted in the collective memory of Madeira Island, the interior project places a high emphasis on the element of nature. In the large main hall, from where you can see the garden composed of autochthonous and semi-tropical species, there are waterfalls that end in levadas present in all the social areas of the entrance floor. Large photographs alluding to the old tunnels built by man and which are currently an integral part of Madeira’s landscape, provide unexpected corners that provide moments of relaxation or conviviality for guests.
