A Curated Experience Beyond Wine

While wine is at the heart of the event, Vinho da Casa also brings a rich array of gastronomic delights, with acclaimed chef Vítor Matos offering a Michelin-starred culinary experience. On May 16th, guests will enjoy a standing dinner paired with wines from Quinta da Vacaria, while on subsequent days, wines from participating producers will accompany each dish. For those passionate about the perfect pairing of food and wine, this is a moment to savor.

Art and entertainment are also essential parts of Vinho da Casa 2025. The event will feature Pocket Shows, spontaneous performances that blend wine, art, and live entertainment. On opening day, May 16th, a unique “Improvised Pairing” will see renowned wine expert Jamie Goode join forces with winemaker Daniel Niepoort for an unexpected challenge, pairing guitar music with exquisite wine. These special performances will offer guests a chance to witness their favorite wine professionals showcase their hidden talents.

Dance, too, will take center stage. Mário Sérgio and Ana Madail will transport attendees to the passionate world of tango in a performance called “Bailamos?”. Later in the evening, live music will take over as Carlos Agrellos, winemaker at Quinta do Noval, leads a concert, pairing his wines with melodies that reflect their unique characteristics.

The event will conclude on May 18th with a spectacular performance by Brazilian singer Adriana Calcanhotto, adding a final flourish to the festival’s artistic program.
