NYCxDESIGN, New York City’s annual celebration of design, attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees and designers from across the globe. Taking place each May—next occurring May 10–22, 2019—the event celebrates a world of design and showcases over a dozen design disciplines through exhibitions, installations, trade shows, panels, product launches, open studios, and more. And, like design itself, NYCxDESIGN is everywhere, with events taking place across the city’s five boroughs. Brought to life by New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) in conjunction with a steering committee of leading members of New York City’s design community, NYCxDESIGN highlights the unique creative, cultural, educational, and economic opportunities in New York City.

WantedDesign – 16-21 May – New York

The Top Design Events You Can't Miss In May

With its marquee events during NYCxDESIGN, WantedDesign is a platform dedicated to promoting design and fostering the international creative community throughout the year. The event takes place on two boroughs, on two different dates. WantedDesign Brooklyn takes place on 16-20 May, while WantedDesign Manhattan is from 18-21 May. Make sure you don’t miss out!

A major celebration takes place this May in Clerkenwell, one of London’s most vibrant districts, as Clerkenwell Design Week 2019 marks its 10th birthday. Giant customised candle like beacons will be found throughout the area, while showrooms, practices and seven exhibition venues throw open their doors as part of this annual design week. CDW has firmly established itself as the UK’s leading independent design festival, which each year attracts the international design community to this district.
