World Design Capital: Mexico City

March 05 – October 07

The prestigious World Design Capital started on March 5th and is set to end on October 7th, so there’s still plenty of time for one to visit. Mexico City becomes the perfect city to host this event as it tells a powerful story and uses design to tackle the challenges of urbanization and ensure a more livable city.

Biennale Architettura

May 26 – November 25

The 16th Biennale Architettura Exhibition will take place from 26th May to 25th November 2018, curated by Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara. This year’s theme is “Freespace” where the event will present a series of events, proposals and elements that exemplify the essential qualities of architecture.

Istanbul Design Biennial

September 22 – November 04

Held from 22 September to 4 November, Istanbul Design Biennial will be curated by Jan Boelen. One of the main themes will be A School of Schools which is a multi-platform biennale that uses, tests and revises a variety of educational strategies to reflect on the role of design, knowledge, and global connectedness in contemporary Istanbul and beyond.

Vienna Design Week

October 6 – October 14

Vienna Design Week is Austria’s largest design festival, with a variety of locations and events in Vienna. The festival, curated by Lilli Hollein, will enter its 11th round next year. During this time, the whole city becomes a centre of design and defines design as an essential part of the cultural production.

PAD London

01 – 07 October

Venice Design Week

In Venice, the interweaving of history, crafts, and art is indissoluble and offers endless ideas to designers. In 2010 Gillo Dorfles explained how the Venice Design Week was born and shared the ideals with us to grow a show; so that it can be useful both in Venice and in the productive fabric of the Triveneto, which in Venice is recognized.

I Saloni WorldWide Moscow

10 – 13 October

Within the Crocus Expo, Russia’s largest trade fair, a well-established company of exhibitors at the Salone del Mobile Milano will be the protagonists of the I Saloni WorldWide Moscow, a reference event home-furnishing sector for Russia and the countries in its geopolitical basin, targeting more than 30,000 visitors.

Design Week Mexico

10 – 14 October

The main goal of the Design Week Mexico is to organise a wide variety of events that promote the culture of design for industry professionals, including architects, graphic and interior designers, students as well as the general public.

A@W ROME

17 – 18 October

The unique and innovative exhibition layout of A@W ROME was created by C4 -Creative Fo(u)r. In order to ensure the optimal contact between exhibitors and visitors, visitors are automatically led along a route that winds its way through small, uniform modules. The innovations showcased by the exhibitors are presented in corner units and on the walls.

Biennale Interieur

Taking place in Kortrijk, in Belgium, Biennale Interieur was one of the best design destinations for enthusiasts and professionals alike. It has a compact, selective and comprehensive approach offering a complete design experience to its visitors. The event provides an holistic overview of what contemporary living is nowadays.

Graphic Design Festival Scotland

19 – 25 October

Łódź Design Festival

Dutch Design Week
