The event which is owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets right now has solid fame in the yachting community of attracting more than 110,000 enthusiasts from 52 countries. This increase allowed them to create the conditions to create the Superyacht Village.
“What exactly will the Superyacht Village consist of?”, you might be asking. It will essentially be a new dedicated marina and on-land exhibition space that will be displaying the most spectacular yachts in this year’s show. Until November 3, this space will be hosted at Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina at its new “Pier South” property.
According to Andrew Doole, the current president of Informa U.S. Boat Shows, the values the bespoke boat show is presenting are clearly increasing, not to mention the fact that it continues to attract many affluent buyers and charter clients. The Superyacht Village, therefore, is a positive consequence of these values.

“Thanks to a large investment by Informa and Tavistock, we are able to create a new, unique destination for the superyacht community within this extraordinary boat show directly across from Port Everglades. We are excited to expand our partnership with Pier Sixty-Six as they embark on an exciting future to revitalize the iconic waterfront venue that has been part of the boat show history since its inception.”
By wandering inside the Superyacht Village, curious onlookers with a general admission ticket will be presented with a plethora of options regarding delight experiences which will take place day and night. We are talking specifically about exclusive seminars dedicated to Superyacht ownership and lifestyle, wine and champagne tastings, automotive and superyacht toy interactives, and even the second annual Sunset Soiree FLIBS Best Yacht Chef Competition.
Not to mention the fact that within this area (which will be having direct access by water tenders, water taxis and shuttle bus routes from the show’s other six locations), you will be able to take a glimpse at some of the world’s most spectacular superyachts and exhibits by renowned shipyards. You will also be finding some amazing helicopters, personal submarines, as well as some incredibly exotic and collectable automotive and luxury items related to the superyacht lifestyle.
The creation of the Superyacht Village was unveiled during last year’s edition of Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. This past year announcement also mentioned a striking new main entrance, new technology at entrance gates and ticket booths, new security screening systems and a very welcoming improved bus transportation route. This new upcoming edition of FLIBS will once again promise to fill Florida, also known as the “Yachting Capital of the World”, with an amazing display for all yacht lovers and owners.
