WantedDesign NYC wrapped up its 2019 edition on May 21, after stirring up the design scene in Brooklyn and Manhattan. This event, that is part of NYCxDESIGN, aims to provide a platform dedicated to promoting design and fostering the international creative community throughout the year with an extensive network of partners in the media, cultural institutions, trade organizations, global design weeks and more. For this year’s edition, the event presented the work of graduate students from over 30 international schools. WantedDesign Manhattan 2019 – WantedDesign is more than a tradeshow, but a hub for conversations, a gathering of international actors, and a community: brands, designers, editors, curators, design lovers and schools altogether for a celebration of the design ethos. This year Ameico Classics, Autonomous Furniture, Calma, Cappellini, Cairopolitan, Flos, Lake & Wells, Maison Fragile, Muratto and Symbol Audio were some of the exhibitors present at the Terminal Stores.

WantedDesign Brooklyn 2019 – The event returned to Brooklyn’s Industry City with more participants than ever. Graduate students from over 30 international schools presented their work. The exhibition Shelter Fallout revolved around the project by Swiss designer Iskander Guetta Abri+ (Shelter+); the Eyes on Talents combined its prescriptive vision on creative talents to present Game changer NYC; the Bounce Station invited visitors to explore and perform new ways of sitting and Design Transforms showcased a civic engagement with Industry City and Sunset Park residents.
