The Haute Couture collection presented in Paris by Giambattista Valli was very distinct showing this side of fashion that is particular only for him. Valli loves risk, and that’s a fact. He started the show with an imaginary “conversation” that can be also called extraordinary or even “Impossible”– the participants of this talk were Pol and Peggy Guggenheim. His clothes, from the very beginning – with a tutu of tulle slung low on a crepe sheath over slim pants, until the end roared with eccentricity. Pants in a silvery metallic raffia were paired with a big ball of ostrich feathers. That is a business card of an old-school ALTA MODA of Valli. There were also some outfits, some pieces that evoked another times, another places, for example the skirt sculpted over a lacquered macramé jumpsuit, or the slim-line embroidered tunic and pants.
