It is not necessary to travel the world to participate in interesting cultural activities, some can even be enjoyed indoors. Some of the most famous museums in the world have virtual tours and digital exhibitions that you can visit while sitting comfortably on your sofa.
NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART, USA
The National Gallery of Art is among the 10 most visited art museums in the world. Built-in 1937, it houses all the arts, from American and European sculptures and paintings to prints, including photos and decorative art. It is possible to visit European works of art from the Middle Ages to the 19th century; American art prior to the 20th century, together with works by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Monet, Van Gogh and Leonardo da Vinci. Modern art is not left out, with masterpieces by Picasso, Andy Warhol, Matisse, Jackson Pollock and Alexander Calder.

VATICAN MUSEUMS, ITALY
The Vatican Museums were born with the private works of Julius II, who when he was elected Pope in 1503, transferred his collection to the Patio Ottagono. MUSEUM OF PRADO, SPAIN
The Prado Museum is the most important museum in Spain and one of the most important in the world. The collection mainly includes paintings from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Among his paintings are masterpieces by painters like Velázquez, El Greco, Rubens, Hieronymus Bosch and Goya.
LOUVRE MUSEUM, FRANCE
The Louvre is not only one of the largest art museums in the world, but it is also one of the most emblematic historical monuments in Paris. The museum offers free online visits to some of its most important and popular exhibits, such as Egyptian antiquity and works by Michelangelo.
BRITISH MUSEUM, ENGLAND

In its permanent collection, it has Aztec masks, coins from the Hellenistic period, Egyptian and Greek sculptures, in addition to the Rosetta Stone and parts of the Parthenon of Athens. It receives almost 6 million visitors annually, making it the most visited attraction in the UK for many years.

HERMITAGE MUSEUM, RUSSIA
The Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg is one of the largest art museums in the world. It was founded in 1764 by Empress Catherine the Great. Currently, it houses a huge collection of paintings, graphic works, applied art, numismatic coins and archaeological objects. Its vast collection features items from virtually every era, style and culture in Russian, European, Eastern and North African history.
PINACOTECA DE BRERA, ITALY
The Pinacoteca de Brera is located in the homonymous building on Via Brera, in Milan. The Pinacoteca was the first museum in Milan and is one of the most important galleries in the world as it houses some of the most prestigious ancient and modern paintings, as well as important sculptures by 20th century Italian artists.
GALLERIA DEGLI UFFIZI, ITALY
The Uffizi Gallery is home to one of the oldest and most famous museums in the world. Galleria Degli Uffizi is divided into about fifty rooms or environments. Some are dedicated to the greatest artists of the Renaissance, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Rafael, in addition to rooms with classical art from ancient Rome, a collection of paintings by Sandro Botticelli and works by the greatest artists in the world such as Michelangelo, Titian, Albrecht Dürer and Peter Paul Rubens. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Florence and one of the most important museums in the world.

METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, USA
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, known informally as The Met, is one of the most visited museums on the planet. The permanent collection includes works of art from classical antiquity and ancient Egypt, paintings and sculptures by European masters and a large collection of modern American art. In addition, the museum also has galleries of African, Asian, Oceanic, Byzantine and Islamic art, as well as encyclopedic collections of musical instruments, ancient clothing and accessories, as well as classic weapons from all over the world.

SOLOMON R. GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM, USA
While the architecture of the Guggenheim building, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is impressive, you don’t have to travel to New York to see some of the priceless artwork up close. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY, USA
The National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC, one of the most visited in the world, has a collection of more than 125 million species of plants, animals, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites and human cultural objects. The museum offers a 360-degree tour of all its exhibits, including the Mammal Hall, the Insect and Dinosaur Zoo and the Paleobiology Hall.
THEATER-MUSEUM DALÍ, SPAIN
This museum, specially dedicated to Salvador Dalí, is located in his hometown, Figueres, in Catalonia. The current museum was an old theatre in the city of Dalí as a child, and where his first public exhibitions were held. It houses the largest and most diverse collection of works by Salvador Dalí, including sculptures, collages and furniture. It is also the place where Dalí is buried.
The museum offers virtual tours of the gardens and some exhibitions, such as the Mae West’s Face exhibition.
